Amazon Insects

Amazon Insects organise des voyages entomologiques (avec autorisations de collecte et d’exportation) en Amazonie péruvienne, au pied des Andes. Parmi les propositions : Tingo Maria, Satipo et d’autres régions moins explorées. En ce moment, nous organisons (pour novembre 2012) une expédition, probablement dans la Sierra del Condor (au nord du Pérou), avec l’aide d’Amazon Insects.

Nous avons reçu, de la part de Manuel Miranda, dirigeant d’Amazon Insects, la proposition suivante élaborée spécialement à l’intention des membres de l’ALF :

 » I charge you per 15 days per 4 people, US$ 7000, include transportation from and to Lima, boats, baits, guides, carrier people, tents, meals, generator, export permit (plus US$ 0.15 cent per specimen). Not included : beverages, liquors, fuel, local communities fees, Lima airport departure tax, meals in Lima, hotel in Lima.

I usually charge more, however I appreciate very much the link in your web, and I would like you travel with us, We have not had any french in our trips, and your comments will be very important for french people.

Satipo area is very good for Morpho cacicas, and best time is late May early June, and November. From June to October there are other species but not Morphos.

Have any of you been at Santiago River or Morona River, close to Manseriche Pongo in the north of my country, here you have a link of a poison frog expedition that I drove there :

It is an untouched area, noone has studied that area, many potencial new species inside. if some day do you want to go there I can arrange everything. «
